Hours Platform

The most ambitious project in my ecosystem — a production system serving several trade departments. It replaced spreadsheets and phone calls with a single source of truth: who, where, when, in which vehicle — and how many hours were actually worked.

At its heart is an employees×days timeline: drag-and-drop assignments, rotations with automatic outbound and return travel days, vehicles and drivers that follow the crew, plan sketches, Polish and German public holidays (per federal state) and live presence of other planners over WebSocket.

The schedule enforces labour law on both sides of the border — Polish Labour Code and German ArbZG rules, equivalent working-time systems, daily and weekly rest. It flags violations, proposes days off and approves plan versions. The settlement engine compares plan with execution under two overtime regimes; six Excel reports and the payroll export are guarded by golden tests.

Foremen log work from the site on their phones — offline too, with a sync queue, photos and PDFs in Polish or German. Plus per-department roles and permissions, 2FA, an audit log, GDPR retention and anonymisation, and encrypted off-site backups.

Scale: 550+ commits, ~1,000 backend tests, 30+ Playwright end-to-end scenarios (including mobile and visual), 38 database migrations and CI on every PR. Models wrote much of the code — the architecture, review and release decisions are mine.
